Valbrembo (Bergamo), Decembre 2018 – The professional coffee machine brand Gaggia Milano is back to setting again the tone for professional coffee culture with a new product line. The brand –whose founder Achille Gaggia invented the extraction process to brew espresso coffee topped with crema– played a major role in making Italian espresso a worldwide cultural phenomenon. The brand relaunch, based on a development plan spanning several years, will benefit from the Ho.Re.Ca. industry expertise of Evoca Group, which purchased the licence in 2016.
The task of interpreting the brand’s Italian spirit has been entrusted to the Bonetto Design Center, which conceived a machine design that combines elegant lines and metallic surfaces to highlight the brand’s reliability.
The line consists of two traditional machines and one super-automatic machine –the first of its kind bearing the Gaggia Milano name– for a complete product range.
la Reale is the traditional premium model specifically designed to lead the relaunch of the brand. A perfect blend of tradition and innovation, its bold lines and its body, on which light reflections create a shimmering effect, are a throw-back to Gaggia Milano’s long history in the world’s finest cafés, while its cutting-edge technology ensures that it is suited to today’s coffee culture in the various markets. The first 100 machines will form a numbered limited edition, marking the dawn of a new era, in which customers and enthusiasts are also invited to play a part.
la Radiosa, a super-automatic machine featuring integrated connectivity and a multi-colour LED profile, represents an important new addition to the brand’s portfolio. The line is rounded out by another traditional machine, la Giusta, marked by excellent performance and a style that clearly evokes the brand’s original spirit.
The entire range is built from cutting-edge technology when it comes to brew systems, leveraging the experience and research contributed by Evoca Group and thus ensuring that the machines excel not only on the Italian market, but also in countries around the world. The launch of the new machines will be supported by the Group’s marketing platform and the customer service system through the Evoca network.
The range, which was unveiled at the event celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Gaggia Milano brand, will be introduced gradually to the market in 2019, with a presence at all the main industry trade fairs and gatherings. The relaunch of the brand will continue over the following two years, during which the range will be completed by adding extra-premium models, as well as other mainstream and super-automatic machines.
Following the brand’s big come-back, a Gaggia Milan History Club will be formed next year with the goal of bringing together enthusiasts everywhere and promoting interesting activities relating to café culture to continue celebrating the relaunch of the Italian espresso.
