The Q10 uniquely offers three different modes for coffee grinding: “dose on demand” for speed and consistency, “grind on demand” for premium coffee service and “continuous grind” for expert baristas who prefer to control their espresso dosing manually.

It features a large 3.5 inch colour TFT screen for easy programming and a USB outlet for data interchange.

The TFT screen brings new branding opportunities to the coffee serving area, which in many locations is also the Point of Sale.

Barcelona, October 2014.- Quality Espresso has launched at Hostelco and for the first time in Spain the Q10, a new grinder that builds on the success of its predecessor model the Q9 by uniquely offering three different modes for coffee grinding: “dose on demand” for speed and consistency, “grind on demand” for premium coffee service and “continuous grind” for expert baristas who prefer to control their espresso dosing manually. “It is intended to be one of the top quality grinders in the professional espresso equipment market”, says Julian Melbourne, Export Director.

The new grinder features a large 3.5 inch colour TFT screen for easy programming and a USB outlet for data interchange. The colour touch screen interface offers nine languages and gives the user all the information needed to manage their espresso operation: cleaning cycle warnings, serving counters and grinding blade change messages.

The TFT screen brings new branding opportunities to the coffee serving area, which in many locations is also the Point of Sale. The providers of such equipment, whether coffee roasters, chains or foodservice suppliers, can now use the grinder to vividly display their brand and promotional messages to the espresso beverage consumer. “We are sure the Q10 branding possibilities will be a highly appreciated added value”, remarks Melbourne.

Like the Q9 grinder, the Q10 boasts grinding disks made of hardened steel to insure precise grinding together with a long life (1.250 kg), an elegant aluminium body with presence and durability and exact dosification. It also includes a precise and easy to adjust grinding point, a great hopper capacity and has an optional kit for coffee tins.

The workshop took place in early June and involved some twenty pupils of Santa Maria del Pilar school in Zaragoza.  The event included an explanation of the different types of green coffee, how to make an espresso and a small demo of latte art.

The children showed great interest in everything that surrounds coffee culture and the world of the barista and some even wanted to taste the foamed milk.

The activity is part of the training program conducted every year by Quality Espresso covering coffee preparation, latte art and the use of the company's espresso machines. The courses are mostly taught to professional customers and baristas, business managers and coffee sales people.

Barcelona, June 2014.- Quality Espresso has recently organized a small workshop about the world of coffee at a school in Zaragoza, Spain.
