The workshop took place in early June and involved some twenty pupils of Santa Maria del Pilar school in Zaragoza.  The event included an explanation of the different types of green coffee, how to make an espresso and a small demo of latte art.

The children showed great interest in everything that surrounds coffee culture and the world of the barista and some even wanted to taste the foamed milk.

The activity is part of the training program conducted every year by Quality Espresso covering coffee preparation, latte art and the use of the company's espresso machines. The courses are mostly taught to professional customers and baristas, business managers and coffee sales people.

Barcelona, June 2014.- Quality Espresso has recently organized a small workshop about the world of coffee at a school in Zaragoza, Spain. The demonstration, which was carried out by Head of Training Rubén Sanz, was undertaken following a request by the school to explain the barista profession amongst young pupils. Given the result of the experience, the initiative could be repeated in the future.

The workshop, which took place in early June in front of more than twenty first year primary pupils of Santa Maria del Pilar school in Zaragoza, consisted of an explanation of the different types of green coffee, how to make an espresso and a small demo of latte art. The children showed great interest in everything that surrounds coffee culture and the world of the barista and some even wanted to taste the foamed milk. Sanz says the initiative "was great personally and professionally". "It's fun because it forces you to talk with a different language and answer questions that make you feel out of place", he adds.

The activity is part of the training program conducted annually by Quality Espresso covering coffee preparation, latte art and the use of the company's espresso machines. The courses are mostly taught to professional customers and baristas, business managers and coffee sales people.
